I think we may have missed our call to be excellent. We listen to the opinions and reactions of people around us to determine our value, identity, and ability instead of to the One who owns us and who paid the price for us. Could it be that the way we interpret Scripture can, at times, encourage mediocrity? Might our internal religious conditioning prohibit us from thinking rightly about ourselves out of fear of pride?
