Morocco is part of a broader Clean Technology Fund (CTF) initiative to install one gigawatt of concentrated solar power (CSP) across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). In June 2011, as part of the implementation of the CSP investment plan, the CTF provided $197 million of concessional finance for the $931 million, 160 megawatt Ouarzazate I CSP project.
