The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is providing $4.2 million to help communities strengthen forest resource management, and to address major drivers of deforestation, including charcoal production and utilization. These efforts will help Zambia reduce deforestation, while ensuring that Zambian households that depend on forests for their livelihoods continue to benefit from these natural resources in a way that promotes sustainable economic growth.
