Girls of Central High is an adventure series with a little mystery thrown in. In the first book the girls form an athletic association and plan school competitions. The central character is Laura who is known as Mother Wit because she always has a solution to any problem. Miss Carrington is the assistant principal who disapproves of girl's athletics and anything else this group of girls wants to do. The books are full of humor and a lot of fun to read.
