We stole a year. That's how it feels now that it's over. A family of four, we learned to roadschool and RV, to sleep in parks and parking lots, to respect and conserve water and power, to understand new places and people, and to appreciate home. We spent every minute together for a year, driving over narrow mountain passes, through endless stretches of desert, teaching and learning at picnic tables and public libraries, hiking in dry riverbeds, getting chased by dogs, and being saved by Good Samaritans. It was a year to remember, and probably the BestTrip we'll ever take.
