There have been many books written about the Eastern Orthodox Church, covering its history, worship, and spirituality. Eastern Europe, revealing a spiritual depth able to with stand genuine evil, it has also begun to attract members in Western Europe and North America, disappointed in the superficiality and materialism into which Western Culture has declined. West transformed rather than denied: Western Christian practice returned to the Orthodox faith that shaped the Western exprience for a thousand years.
