This treatment of the grasses of Florida is the first modern floristic work dealing exclusively with the grasses occurring in the wild for the entire state. A total of 119 Genera and 461 species are treated in the systematic section. Keys and descriptions to the subfamilies, tribes, genera, and species of Florida grasses are presented as a means for identification.
