Dear Journal, Today marks the one year anniversary of when my life changed forever. One year ago today, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. After seven surgeries, including a Double Mastectomy, and grueling chemo and radiation treatments, I was released from the hospital this past December. That was truly a great day. After being released from Texas Children's Hospital, I was immediately sent to Johnson Rehabilitation Center. As I completed the first half of my packing, I could not help but feel hyper, excited, and giddy all at the same time. Two years ago, I was lying in a hospital bed and fighting for my life.
