William Daniell (1769-1837) was a British draughtsman who at age 14 accompanied his Uncle Thomas to India. He was elected to the Royal Academy in 1822. Before his death he began painting panoramas. The Oriental Annual 1835 contains over 20 chapters with drawings by William Daniell with descriptions of these works. This is a good reference for art historians.
