Every antic by every animal in this book of daily devotions really did take place, and all the characteristics described are said to be true. Who could dream up a strong-armed, soft-hearted gorilla mama, or a parakeet who speaks Mary Poppins? But this book is not about the animals. Ultimately it is about our human need for divine guidance in our relationships with each other, and about our need for daily communion with our God.
