This chapbook was created by many and represents the collective voice of the Poet Within poets.

The Poet Within community of poets write on the theme of Building community one kind act at a time.

This collection of poems presents fourteen poets from the Poet Within classes of 2015 and is built on the theme each poet provided; together these poems create a contemplative mood, and a spark of adventure that takes you from cover to cover without noticing the passage of time. The title poem is inspired by this verse: Toward the city / The trees unloose themselves / My lungs empty and become hollow / I drop pieces of my orange peel / On the path behind me / Leaving a trail for spring.
