Der vorliegende Band bildet den Abschluss der Abteilung Briefe im Rahmen der "Hamburger Klopstock-Ausgabe." Er enthalt als Gesamtregister fur die bereits erschienenen Bande I-XI der Briefausgabe das Namen- und Sachregister sowie - separat - das Register der Werke Klopstocks. Zusatzlich ist das Register des Bandes "Klopstocks Arbeitstagebuch" in die beiden Verzeichnisse integriert. Schlielich enthalt der Band ein Verzeichnis der Korrekturen und Erganzungen zu den Banden I-XI, das jenes aus Band XI der Ausgabe vervollstandigt.
