This work is an investigation into the death of American mogul Franklin Gowen. Gowen had been found dead in a Washington hotel room in December of 1889, and his death was officially classified as a suicide. But this investigation into his death argues that there is little doubt that he was murdered. But by whom? And who covered up the murder? And why?

The "accident" that occurred on the Pier Road in Weston, a small village in County Donegal, in September 1973, is remembered by very few people in Ireland, in spite of the fact that eleven people died, including four policemen, and scores were injured, including thirty children. The media coverage of the event focused on the bereaved survivors, and the official tributes to the four policemen who died "in the line of duty."
