Myosin are a diverse superfamily of molecular motors for translocating actin filaments or translocating vesicles or other cargo on fixed act in filaments. There are currently fifteen distinct classes in the supe rfamily, and this new editions provides a complete survey. It incorpor ates much of the latest research, including links between mutations in myosin and human diseases.
