The International Criminal Court adopted its Statute in Rome in July 1998. Six months later, a seminar was held in the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which analysed the position of the ICC within the international arena, exploring its relationship to the International Court of Justice, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and the Security Council.
