Included herein are four collections of my poems I put together, including those in the publication of Poems and Visions in 1968. None of the "visions" from that collection is included; each is poetry in some broad sense but not poems, lacking the intransitive and self-limiting nature I take my trials at writing poems to attempt achieving. Though I compiled the second of the included collections, Successes and Failures, in 1989, it includes a number of poems completed prior to those in Poems and Visions, the oldest of which and still one of my favorites having been written in 1950.
