Chris and Cathy with their daughters (pictured) worked together to create "What If ?." Inspired by the young at heart, Chris, the author came up with the idea for the book. While the majority of the illustrations were created by mom (Cathy), the drawing of the horses was done by the youngest daughter, Jessie. The dinosaur was drawn by Jarre the middle daughter.
