This is a story that encourages children to take the initiative, to actively participate in life, and to make room for shy friends. In the text we hear a young girls thoughts throughout one day and we see the world through her eyes. She seems to be invisible because everyone around her is busy with their own needs and activities and don't acknowledge her presence. In fact she is just very shy and unable to reach out, participate, and make herself known to others.
