This is a collection of my writing on the subject of hippies. Portions of the material appeared first on the political blog, Daily Kos. There is also approximately 50% new material, and all diaries previously posted online have been substantially rewritten. I write about hippies because my coming of age happened to coincide with the 1960s youth rebellion that was the hippie movement. That and because I believe the hippies still have important messages for us all.
