The new directions in which art therapy is advancing are examined in this book. These include: new populations now being addressed by human services (battered women, new immigrants, incest victims, bereaved children, cancer patients, etc); new methods, with notable emphasis on creative synthesis with other modalities (computer animation, photography, video, and psychodrama); and training (dealing with supervision, handling countertransference, and termination).
