The Windy Hill is a children's novel by Cornelia Meigs. A brother and sister learn about their own family's history in New England through a series of tales told by the Beeman. The novel, was first published in 1921 and was a Newbery Honor recipient in 1922.

This is a story about early Colonial Life that follows Master Simon and his family to the end of the revolutionary war. Two of the main characters in the story are Simon and his daughter Margaret. Simon and his daughter are Puritans but they approach the way they live their lives and the way they view God differently than their neighbors. Simon's heart is not as prejudiced as his neighbors or as narrow minded in his view of God. When those in need come to his door he accepts them without question in spite of the judgment of his neighbors, and his family is blessed for it.
