Die in diesem Band versammelten Texte repräsentieren die Entwicklung der biologischen Theorie des Erknnens von Humberto R. Maturana. Sein besonderes Interesse gilt dabei der Anatomie und Physiologie des Nervensystems, der Physiologie der Wahrnehmung und dem Phänomen der Erkenntnis.
