Differentiation is a key part of effective teaching and is currently an INSET priority for many secondary schools. By giving real-life examples, this work makes links between the theory of differentiation and some of the range of good practices already in place in schools. It explores the meaning and issues surrounding terms like differentiation and equal opportunities and offers practical strategies for tackling these often difficult areas.
