Nondestructive evaluation (NDE) is important in design, manufacturing and maintenance, by applying the techniques in NDE machine and systems failures can be reduced. This text introduces and discusses primary techniques used in the field, including ultrasonics, magnetics, radiography, penetrants and eddy current. Real-life problems, examples and projects are used to illustrate applications of techniques.
