This text follows adjustments to the borders of Europe and its neighbors from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. It pays special attention to the history and contemporary dynamics of Polish and German borders and the creation of Euroregions, as well as mutual perceptions of Poles and Germans at the border, E.U. Regional Policy, and media debates over the extension of the Schengen Area. The European focus is complemented by an analysis of crossborder mobility between Abkhazia and Georgia and the societal effects of Israel's Security Fence to Palestine.
