Mit Bezug auf Greimas' narrative Semiotik und die Kognitionswissenschaft entwickelt Richter seine Theorie des "narrativen Urteils" als Kernstuuuml;ck "narrativer Problemverhandlung." Erzaauml;hlungen stellen kontingente Entscheidungen dar, koouml;nnen aber ihre Kontingenz im Namen einer Ideologie exemplarisch verschleiern. Das narrative Urteil ermoglicht so, wie ausfuhrlich gezeigt wird, auch die erzahlerische Verhandlung theoretischer Probleme, die im Rahmen der Argumentation unlosbar scheinen, z.B. des Hiobproblems im Alten Testament sowie des Theodizeeproblems von Leibniz bis Kant.

In the interdisciplinary discourse between philosophy and historical, literary, and cultural studies this book explores the relationship between historical narratives and the experiences on which they are based and which give the first impetus for a genuine need to tell the story. Here a new concept of historical experience is formulated which elucidates the pre-narrative dimensions of historical creation of meaning and thus also enables a more adequate determination of the relationship of history and narration as well as individual and collective history.
