English summary: Serial narratives never have a final ending: writers, filmmakers and fans may feel stimulated to continue. On the other hand, the apparent continuity of serial narratives is often undermined by rupture. Der erste Band der Reihe "Broken Narratives" geht auf eine mehrjahrige Forschungsinitiative der Philologisch-Kulturwissenschaftlichen Fakultat der Universitat Wien zuruck. Er entfaltet und diskutiert - aus genuin transdisziplinarer Perspektive - insbesondere theoretische Fragestellungen, die sich aus der Beziehung von Narration und Bruch ergeben.
