Aid for famine in North Korea was, and continues to be, accompanied by controversy and dispute. Based upon the North Korean case and other famine aid missions in the past, this book analyzes the timeless dilemma of providing aid to totalitarian regimes and puts a number of recent debates surrounding today's humanitarianism into perspective.
