Pritchett, who has previously published studies on the topography of Pausanias, offers two chapters: 1) a study of the periegete's account of the Demosion Sema, some tombs of which were excavated in 1997, and 2) a study of certain aspects of Pausanias' account of Greek religion, particularly the worship of images.
