This study aimed to determine the difference between the effect of laser and electromagnetic field on facial nerve regeneration. Thirty patients of both sexes with Bell's palsy were included in this study. The patients were assessed by nerve conduction study (percentage of degeneration) and house brackmann functional grading scale. The amplitude was recorded from frontalis muscle at affected and unaffected sides. Moreover, the patients were assessed by functional grading scale (house brackmann grading scale) and percentage of degeneration. These assessments f were measured two times, firstly before treatment and secondly after treatment. The results of this study showed that, there is highly significant difference between before and after treatment within each group according to functional grading scale (house brackmann grading scale) and percentage of degeneration while there was no significance difference between both groups. The results of this study concluded that there is no significant difference between the effect of laser and electromagnetic field on facial nerve regeneration in Bell's palsy patients. Therefore both modalities are effective equally in physical therapy.
