Uncertainty and e-learning are probably the most important issues of our times. Uncertainty because it is closely related to risk and the problem to control risks has become crucial for the survival of mankind and e-learning because it represents the new paradigm of learning after the IT revolution. This book deals with both of them by giving a brief account of a novel approach to handle uncertainty scientifically called Bernoulli Stochastics and by introducing the corresponding e-learning system Stochastikon Magister. In contrast to many e-learning programs in statistics, Stochastikon Magister is based on a complete virtual classroom and has been very successful in teaching Bernoulli Stochastics. The book shows in detail how this success could be accomplished by explaining, step by step, how to design and develop an e-learning environment to educate new born knowledge via Internet. Furthermore, Stochastikon Magister is evaluated based on new stochastic methods replacing the usually employed statistical test.
