The importance of this work stems from the fact that despite the widespread practice of exclusive breastfeeding, infections of neonates leading to hospitalization is still common. The work investigates the incidences of pathogens implicated in neonatal septicaemia in association with the role of some factors of human milk. A comparative analysis of bioactive components from mother as with healthy infants and the milk of mothers whose babies developed septicaemia are provided.
