Story of the relationship between a MBA graduate Aditya, and his childhood admirer Preet, "Love story of a Stalker" tells a beautiful tale about majority of the love stories in Indian context and their eventual fate. Preet is in divine love with Aditya from childhood but Aditya stays aloof. As they move on different paths after school they cross ways again after many years. Aditya is now working in IT MNC in Chandigarh after completion of his MBA and Preet is working as a teacher in a smart school also in the same city. Aditya stays indifferent for long time because of his painful past heart break in a relationship for which he took years to recover. He is also apprehensive of the fact that both are from different religions and her parents will have an issue in forming alliance. Preet assures him that her parents and her sister who stays in Australia have liberal thought process. With her assurance and some extraordinary sequence of events, he finally decides to understand and honor her love for him. Relationship gets stronger and stronger. In this Golden period they had done everything possible in a smooth relationship with great compatibility. Relationship gets crazy, emotional and physical. They help and support each other in all spheres of life. He falls in true love with her and starts considering her as his soul mate for life time imagining her everywhere in her home, dreaming of going to every place with her in the entire world. They really get close and deep into the relationship with no way back. They get into marriage and babies discussion. Aditya gets a reality check and shock when Preet tells him that her parents have issues with their alliance because of religion and they prefer a marriage like her Sister's. Promises and commitments meant nothing. They separate once but are unable to live without each other. They come back and pledge to convince parents. He supports her immensely when her mother meets an accident and is bed ridden for three months. She also supports him mitigating his professional pressures. Things get complicated when she tells that her parents are not allowing her to meet him and are also not willing to meet him or his family. Aditya gives his everything to convince her that that she needs to fight since she had committed before and now cannot back out. But finally after 2 years she decides to end it and choose parent's side. Aditya is almost in dying condition but still hopes that she will come back but to his horror after few days he finds that she is engaged with an Australian Sikh guy. His entire world of dreams and love falls down He develops suicidal tendencies. Aditya does not have in him to let her go. He decides to talk to her and begs her for coming back reminding her of past memories and promises but she says that she is doing it for parents respect and cannot come back at any cost. He keeps messaging her but she stops replying completely. He ends up talking to the Australian guy and tells him everything. He gets in real mess when Preet's parents come to know and they threaten him of launching a police complaint. Aditya is seen as a "Stalker" by everyone including his own family whereas Preet is seen as a victim and she does not come out to tell truth even once. This impacts his professional life also as his dream job gets converted into a nightmare. Aditya was declared as "Employee of the year" in previous year due to his extraordinary performance and for cracking impossible clients. Contrary to that in current year he is told to improve his performance or else he will be terminated. Aditya's family also gets involved to resolve the matter. Families talk it out and somehow matter is closed on condition that Aditya will never interfere again. He tries to kill himself but does not have the courage. He finally ends up helping another Hindu-Sikh couple to get married whose parents are strictly against them.
