Delving into one's compositional process and the detailed analytical journey of a specific composition can be an illuminating experience. Where does the source of the musical creation come from? How is it developed? What is the end result? Focusing on my work InterLOCKED for two pianos composed in 2013, I will investigate the distinctive qualities unique to my own personal musical language, important influential artists which have made a huge impact in my development as a musician/composer and finally, I will demonstrate how these qualities have been applied to my works through an in-depth analysis of the composition InterLOCKED. Along with the precise method in which I conceive my musical compositions, it is important to discuss how my musical and aesthetic approach has been greatly influenced by three composers in particular: Wolfgang Rihm, Gérard Grisey and Salvatore Sciarrino. These composers, whose musical ideas and innovations will be discussed later on, have influenced my style in different ways. Rihm's rejection of systematic composition in music. Grisey's and Sciarrino's use of colors and timbre both played a huge role in developing my compositional and musical style.
