For the simultaneous release of two drugs in a single dosage form, bilayer tabletsare used. Rosuvastatin Calcium is an Anti cholesteric agent while Aspirin is Anti Platelet agent. By combining this both drugs heart failure and death can be prevented. They reduce plaque formation due to high cholesterol. The prepared bilayer tablets were evaluated by hardness, friability, disintegration time, in vitro drug release. The drug release of drug was also checked by kinetic modeling. The stability study of the bilayer tablet shows that there was no significant difference in appearance and drug release of optimized batch.
