Now-a-days lightweight, safe design, enhancement of crush response and good corrosion resistance of car body structure is challenging issue in the automotive industry. These objectives lead to the increasing adaptation of coated steel sheet preferably zinc coated steel in place of uncoated steel sheet and also aluminum alloys for substituting steel for auto body members. Conventional fusion welding processes facing many challenges during welding of similar (coated steel) as well as dissimilar joining (steel- aluminum) in automobile industry. Metal Inert Gas Brazing (MIGB) or Arc brazing process is very efficient of joining zinc coated automotive high strength, advanced high strength grade steels (HSS & AHSS) and coated steel to aluminum joints. Excellent mechanical property with good corrosion resistance was achieved by selecting suitable technique and process parameters during joining of HIF-GA and DP600-GI. This process has potential to achieve adequate joint strength even in hybrid joints. In this book several characterizations techniques were used to understand the effect of process parameters on bead geometry, microstructure, mechanical property and corrosion resistance.
