This book focuses on internationalization of Indian Pharmaceutical Industry (IPI). As most of the Indian pharma companies are in the first stage of internationalization i.e. exports (as per Internationalization theory), the study is limited to the export process of the Indian pharma firms. The basic purpose of the study is to understand the main motives which have stimulated the pharma firms to move to international markets, the determinants which affect the pharma firms export performance and the determinants which differentiate successful exporters from unsuccessful exporters. An extensive research has been performed on available literature globally and been applied to India environment. Finally, based on contingency theory, a model has been build taking important determinants of export performance into consideration and tested using structural equation modeling.
