Regardless of the technological challenges forexploitation of unconventional gas reservoirs, themathematical modeling of such reservoirs ischallenging due to complex physical processes whichare involved over the course of reservoir depletion. The purpose of this book is to present thedevelopment of models for prediction of reservoirperformance using analytical approach for twoparticular types of unconventional gas reservoirsconsisting (1)hydrate-capped gas reservoirs, and(2)dry CBM reservoirs. In particular, the boundarydominated and transient flow models for gasproduction from a hydrate-capped gas reservoir, aswell as a production model for analysis of a dry CBMreservoir are presented. The models presented herecan be easily programmed on spreadsheet and can beused as an engineering tool for evaluating the roleof hydrates and adsorbed gas in improving theproductivity and extending life of hydrate-capped gasreservoirs and dry CBM reservoirs, respectively.
