During his stay at Machilipatnam in 1887 as a lecturer, he played a significant role in the establishment of Prarthana Samaj there. The social service rendered by him was recognized by the government, universities, co-reformers of Brahma Samaj, citizens and honoured Raghupati Venkataratnam Naidu. He was received many awards. He was recognized the great social reformer of India in general and Andhra in particular.
