This process is founded on the elaboration of goals and definition of questions that will be answered by Assertions and metrics. The requirements documents quality is improved by the use of refactorings. This book was extracted from the authors doctoral thesis, published in 2009 by the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil.

He was born in Ibitinga city, SP, Brazil, and currently is an associate professor at the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco, Brazil. His holds a Ph.D in Computer Science and has experience in Software Engineering,working in the following topics: aspect oriented programming, requirements document, use cases, and quality metrics.
