Green gram (Vigna radiata L.), commonly known as mung bean is one of the important pulse crop in India. It is quite versatile crop grown for seeds, green manure and forage and it is also considered as "Golden Bean" because of it's nutritional values and suitability for increasing the fertility of the soil, by the way of addition of nitrogen to the soil.Green gram is a protein rich staple food. It contains about (24%) protein, (1.15%) fat, and (56-63%) carbohydrate, minerals and vitamins. Green gram suffers from many diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, nematodes and also abiotic stresses.Keeping in view of the importance of the disease and losses caused by the pathogen, with the following objectives: 1. To evaluate the disease intensity at different days of intervals. 2. To evaluate the comparative efficacy of selected fungicides and Trichoderma spp. against the powdery mildew disease of green gram. 3. To evaluate the cost benefit ratio of the treatments. The research were concluded that Carbendazim @ 0.1% as foliar treatment was most effective against powdery mildew of green gram.
