This book entitled "Women Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment- A Study in Telangana Region of Andhra Pradesh", is the outcome of a major research project carried out under the aegis of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India, at the Department of Economics, Kakatiya University, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. The study focuses in all 150 sample units run by women entrepreneurs in the chosen districts of Telangana Region in Andhra Pradesh, India. The evaluation as such was done in relation to specific objectives and hypotheses framed for the purpose on scientific lines. The theme and text of the book is covered in five chapters depicting several interesting features and suggestive policy measures in the area of development of women entrepreneurship and their empowerment. The book it is hoped shall be an useful input and a ready reference material for the students, researchers, in economics and other related disciplines. It can also serve as a guide to policymakers, entrepreneurs and all other stakeholders connected with the development of women in general and specifically of women entrepreneurs and their empowerment in all socio-economic spheres.

The author is working as Professor of Economics at Kakatiya University, Warangal, India. She has to her credit more than 33 years of experience as a teacher and researcher She has published, edited books, journals, contributed research articles in many reputed journals. She completed need based research projects & guided many research scholars.
