The main purpose of this book is the description of processes of nominalization in Senoufo Djimini using methods of descriptive linguistics. This work has been organized into six major chapters ending with a brief conclusion. Starting with information concerning the Djimini people, their language, and an explanation of how this work has been conducted, with nouns and noun classes preparing the reader to better understand the nominalization strategies, the core nominalization processes showing that the language makes use of the noun class suffixes and other affixes to accomplish nominalization and lastly the syntactic functions of nominalization. Undoubtedly this book does not exhaust of all the complexities of the Djimini noun system and further research could be done on nominalization.
