Sexual violence is an act which against a persons sexuality. The problem is not limited to a continent, country, region, city, or higher institutions . It is a global problem. This book is present the magnitude and associated risk factors of sexual violence in one of Ethiopia higher institute. A total of 316 female students were involved in the study. The prevalence of sexual violence in life time and in the last 12 months preceding the data collection among female students was 62.7% and 57% respectively. There were four factors significantly associated with sexual violence such as having a boyfriend, being sexually active, substance use, and witnessing inter-parental violence. The risk of being sexually violated increased by 2.83 fold in the female students who had boyfriends than those who did not have. It was also found out that female students who did not start sex had lower risk of sexual violence compared to the female students who were sexually active. The odd of experiencing sexual violence in the last 12 months was higher among students who used substance and witnessed inter-parental violence than who did not.
