A skilful blend of recollections of the author's time as a commercial wine buyer and an insider's list of wines that are great to drink but thankfully don't carry extortionate price tags, "Tasting Notes" is a must for anyone who loves good wine, knows something of the subject and wants to get off the beaten track in their quest for finding decent wines that are affordable and pleasurable.
Written in a refreshingly chatty but informative way, "Tasting Notes" provides an insightful guide for finding wines today that are amongst the best in the world and yet remain known only to a few.
Tasting Notes is a highly personal look back at the world of commercial wine tasting and buying. It provides today's enthusiastic wine drinker with an insider's guide to finding great wines that lay largely off the beaten track.
