Ecotourism is not a panacea; but, it is, apparently, an alternative tool for livelihood enhancement if its managed well. Particularly, developing countries like Ethiopia have realized the importance of this non-farm activity in combating poverty and conserving the environment. It is here where Wonchi Crater Lake Ecotourism came into existence thereby. The book has gone someway to investigate the contribution of ecotourism to local communitys livelihood diversification in rural Ethiopia, Wonchi, coupled with the assessment of the existing synergistic cooperation among all concerned stakeholders. Added to this, the locals attitudinal difference over ecotourism development is discussed statistically. Generally, the book gives an insight on how the contribution of ecotourism should best be improved.

Nafbek Solomon is a lecturer of Tourism at School of Business and Economics, Madda Walabu University, Ethiopia. He has also been teaching at different Tourism and Hotel colleges. He earned M.A. in Tourism and Development from Addis Ababa University and B.A. in Tourism Management from University of Gondar.
