Larry Sword and his lifelong friend Glenn Hodge are two Americans that served twenty one years in the French Foreign Legion when they were young men. They have been retired from the Legion for an additional twenty years and are working and living in Dallas, Texas. When a mysterious Russian General dispatches a Norwegian assassin to Dallas, Larry Sword is pulled into the assassin's whirlpool of murder and kidnapping. Larry is at his wits end and calls for help from the only people he knows he can unconditionally trust, his Legionnaire friends from years ago. When the group is assembled they wonder if they can stand up to the challenges they must overcome in their middle age. Being in their late fifty's and early sixty's, they wonder if they are up to the task at hand. In short order, the seven men must contend with the Russian mafia, the assassin and a rogue Russian General that controls a vast pool of oil production in Eastern Europe. They soon call on their years of military and business experience to begin the onslaught from the General and his minions. When the confrontation begins, a salty old Captain of the Texas Rangers enters the picture with the Russian mafia, the General, FBI, Interpol and the former Legionnaires. They all begin to square off for a war of wits, strategies and international intrigue. Several twists and turns find the Governor of Texas, and assorted politicians trying to make sense of who and exactly what is happening in Dallas and for that matter in Eastern Europe. The intrigue builds as massive amounts of money and multinational business partnerships are uncovered. Will the seven prevail or will they fail in their efforts to overcome their evil advisories?
