Humanities disciplines in their epistemological paradigm enjoy the capacity to rethink human challenges in a more realistic way as against the mechanistic approach of the sciences. The lack of critical thinking among many people today is the treatment given to humanities-based disciplines as a result of a deliberate policy of denying them the opportunity to develop critical minds among the people.
