Mental: Everything begins with a made up mind There are times when despite all your best efforts you just can't hold a good chain of thought. I like to think of theses times as Firefly Moments When I was a child playing outdoors during the beautiful Midwest summer nights I would find myself chasing fireflies. We may have been playing hide and seek, ( one person hides their face counting while the children run and hide then tries to find them in their hiding places.) freeze tag, (freeze tag was a game played in a yard with limits on how far you could run. The person that was (it) had to tag all the players to freeze them to win while another person could unfreeze you by tagging you back to life.) or red light green light (was a game you played with one person telling green light you ran red light you stopped if you were too slow reacting you were out) but a firefly could distract me by just showing up. The thing about fireflies is that they appear one place and light in another next time, they kept moving. I would try to chase them by guessing where they would appear next, you never knew for certain where. When I'm working on a project or suppose to be studying these mental fireflies show up and get my mind chasing other thoughts all over the place. The sad thing about chasing fireflies is they went higher with each attempt to catch them if you weren't careful you might run into the street without looking We certainly see how many people get hurt or killed texting while doing other things, guard against the distractions Will your mind to the place it should be, bring every thought captive
