Originally published in 1946. This report is a summary of the operations of antiaircraft artillery from December 1941 until August 1945 against the enemy in the Pacific theater. Engagements with aircraft, protection to airfields, supply bases, and ground troops, combat service support, and infantry support in the Philippines, East Indies, Central and Western Pacific, Papua, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Northern Solomons, and Ryukyus campaigns are covered.

The enclosed report consists of extracts from many sources bearing on the actual overseas experiences of Japanese warfare by various individuals and units. Please note this a reprint from the archives and while we have made extensive efforts to clean up text and photographs the quality sometimes reflects the age of the original document and the typefaces available. Photographs and maps are included but there may be inconsistencies in appearances. These are not cheap OCR editions and the book is checked for legibility throughout.
